Quotes About “Living”… What Are You Living For?

Posted on

I’ve carried these quotes for some time.

It’s always the question that drives us… not knowing the answer

We are always getting ready to live, but never living. Ralph Waldo Emerson

Men for the sake of getting a living forget to live. Margaret Fuller

Many go fishing their entire lives without knowing it is not fish they are after. Henry David Thoreau

We are never living, but hoping to live. Blaze Pascal

And I still haven’t found what’s I’m looking for. U2

Fear not that thy life shall come to an end, but that it shall never have a begining. John Henry Newman

Every man dies, but not every man lives. William Wallace

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of  life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. Henrey David Thoreau

You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life. Albert Camus

I have seen all the works that have been done under the sun, and behold, all is vanity and striving after wind. the Preacher Ecc 1:14

I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly. Jesus Christ jn10:10

For me, that was one of the joys of giving my life to Christ at 25.

Life had meaning.

And not only did life have deep meaning, but I had purpose with in it.

My pursuit of living has been a struggle in many areas, but also great growth and accomplishment.

So, I want to answer the question..:

What makes Life worth living?

I love a good story.

I love my kids

I love tickle fights and fart jokes.

I love teaching and sharing

I love walking in the green

I love watching squirrels and kittens spaz out in play

I love a deep conversation… pulling out the soul of myself or me to another

I love watching water fall

I love seeing how business works and creating inventions

I love the dreams I have

I love seeing my kids’ eyes brighten at the opening of a gift or delight

Everything you love… is what makes life worth living.

take a moment and write down all the things that you love. I could come up with hundreds but just wrote down the first few. there is no priority or condemnations… if you love to dance naked at night with the lights off ;p well, then we are alike. Whether it’s people or things or animals or characters… you love them.  know them

A life filled with loving is a life close to the one God lives, which is life as it was meant to be.

Soren Kierkegaard Quote

I truly hope you find rich life in your love.

Many blessings

Does God Want Religion?

Posted on Updated on

Do you think God want’s religion?

NO!
God gave us a heart and free will so we could become intimate allies.
He’s not looking for good church people or moral politicians. He’s looking to change the world through the weak, broken, friends and lovers of Him.

Think of it.

Jesus came on an adventure.
He was going to save mankind.
He suffered under family, public taunts
people with wrong expectations for him
put downs, scurging, beatings, humiliations
then…
He took the deathblow for all of us.
He ransomed our lives before the Father.
He allowed any of us to call on His name and become followers
He was so holy even death could not keep Him.

Would he trade all that so we could do it all alone?
So we would simply follow some rules?
That we would be a nice guy?

There is something much deeper going on…
Ask Him and you’ll find out.

Two Ancient Prayers I Love

Posted on Updated on

May God bless you with discomfort

At easy answers, half-truths, and superficial relationships

So that you may live deep within your heart

May God bless you with anger

At injustice, oppression, and exploitaion of people

So that you may work for justice, freedom and peace

May God bless you with tears

To shed for those who suffer pain, rejection, hunger and war,

So that you may reach out your hand to comfort them and to turn their pain into joy

And may God bless you with enough foolishness

to believe that you can make a difference in the world,

So that you can do what others claim cannot be done

To bring justice and kindness to all our children and the poor.

Amen

Prayer of St. Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.

Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console,
To be understood as to understand,
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
It is in dying to self that we are born to eternal life.

Many blessings to you all

What Am I About?

Posted on

It may seem that being alone is attractive

Our wounds are not scratched

there is no rejection

We can get our closet closed enough to be comfortable

Tell ourselves
“I can do it on my own
“I don’t need anyone
“they just wouldn’t understand
“No one loves me
“I’m just fine here
“I can’t be vulnerable with people
“I’m surviving and that’s good enough for now
“I don’t fit in anywhere

And when you believe those lies…
then you will exist there

I don’t think that’s what you want.
in fact, as someone who grew up there for 25 years
I know you are dying for friendship, community
love, relationships, deep conversations, intimacy,
healing joy and something to be proud of.

I was rescued by Father.
Jesus Christ took me by the hand and led me down different paths
The Spirit revives my strength, joy, love, hope, faith and abundance every morning and as needed daily.

I live a pretty awesome life today.

Now, I’m not selling anything here.

I’m just say’n,

you have a choice.

You can starve your life until you die…
Or you can choose LIFE.

I choose abundance every day

May God bless you richly

Newest Book On Dinosaurs Coming Soon

Posted on Updated on

Just finished my book on Dinosaurs,
I think it’s going to be a big hit.

But then I’m just that kind of guy.

Not all of these dinosaurs are represented, but I love looking at what inspires me.

Now, picture them with an honor sword.

Oh, yeah.

Even little boys will want to learn to read to get these books.

And it comes with a great message for our world.

I’m looking for a great artist to do the illustrations.

Pretty soon I hope to have a link for you to pre-order an autographed copy.

I’m pretty excited.

I hope your kids are ready for play with dinosaurs

It’s coming
